Alexander I Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1818 CПБ-ПC MS66 NGC, St. Petersburg mint. KM-C129, Bitkin-160. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle holding orb and scepter. Rev. Crowned four-line inscription within wreath. A stunning fully original example of this conditionally rare issue. The surfaces exhibit only a few tiny die cracks, with brilliant silvery luster and a bold strike. Only a single example has been certified finer by NGC and PCGS combined and we doubt that any have the sparkling eye-appeal of this gem piece.
