Philip II 8 Reales 1586-(Aqueduct) MS62 NGC, Segovia mint, Cay-3962. An outstanding 8 Reales, its quality of production absolutely exceptional with devices fully struck-up and bold, few to no distracting marks and an ethereal golden patina cloaking the central designs. Underlying mint luster peeks through in places and dazzles the viewer, juxtaposed with more subdued smokey red tone which blends with the gold to add a luxurious color palate to the surfaces of this superb piece. With such an early date of manufacture one simply cannot believe that such a survivor exists at all. An absolute marvel and sure to be the prize of the next collection it graces with its presence.
