Republic 5 Reales 1858-A XF Details (Obverse Cleaned) NGC, Paris mint, KM-Y11. A scarce type, struck only for one year. Although the obverse surface reveals hairlines from a past cleaning, these, being toned over, seem less distracting than is often the case with such occurrences. Steel toned throughout, which intensifies toward the outer registers, the reverse slightly darker and attractive laden with lilac undertones.
