Posthumous issue of 'Babylon', under Antigonus Monopthalmus, commander in Mesopotamia, 317-311 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, the bowl decorated with coiled serpent right / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ / ΒΑ-ΣΙΛΕΩΣ, Nike standing left, wreath in outstretched right hand, stylis cradled on left arm; globule above head of satyr left below wing in left field, HYP monogram inside wreath below wing in right field. The Satyr's head seen here bears a striking resemblance to the head of Pan later adopted by the grandson of Antigonus Monopthalmus, Antigonus Gonatas, as his royal emblem during his reign as king of Macedon, 277-239 BC.
