Contorniates. AD mid-4th-early 5th centuries. In the name of Divus Augustus. AE (37mm, 27.07 gm, 12h). NGC VF 4/5 - 2/5. Ca. late AD 4th century. DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, laureate head of Divus Augustus right; monogram engraved in right field / Stag advancing right, being brought down from underneath by hound; rocky outcropping surmounted by tree behind, second hound chasing down hare advancing right in upper left, all within walled park with flora interspersed. cf.
