THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AV stater (21mm, 8.41 gm, 11h). NGC Choice AU 4/5 - 3/5. Posthumous issue of Odessus, ca. 225-200 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena seated left, left elbow resting on shield, holding Nike in right hand; ΟΔ H monogram under left arm, K•HP (HP as a monogram) in exergue. AMNG I 2119 type (KOI in exergue). Müller 237 type (same). Sharply struck from dies of pleasing style, with significant residual luster. A nice and rare example from this this small transitional series. Well struck and choice for the type.
