Octavian, as Sole Imperator (31-27 BC). AR denarius (20mm, 3.93 gm, 9h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. Rome or Italian mint, autumn 30 BC. Victory standing right on prow of galley, palm in left hand over shoulder, wreath upward in right hand / IMP CAESAR, Octavian driving triumphal quadriga right, laurel branch in right hand, reins in left. RIC I 264. Beautiful deep cabinet toning with gunmetal iridescence.
