Pedro I gold 6400 Reis 1828/7-R MS62 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM370.1, Russo-602. Expertly struck, rendering Pedro's portrait fully detailed, this scarce issue absolutely shines with bold mint luster that sweeps the fields. Other than a few lines on the obverse that prevent a higher grade, the whole of this selection remains absolutely satisfying. The reverse is perhaps the highlight of the coin, with strong definition across the images and a lustrous, nearly prooflike appearance typically associated with a 64 specimen. Rare, with small mintage of 650, a strong 8/7 overdate, and an esteemed pedigree--all of which are sure to draw strong collector interest.
