Elizabeth copper Pattern Novodel Kopeck 1755-CПБ MS63 Brown NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-H585 (R2), Brekke-47 (R2), Diakov-N371 (R2). Edge 4, St. Petersburg edge lettering. Obv. Crowned and draped bust of Elizabeth right. Rev. Crowned double-headed eagle in cartouche with date above. This obverse die was used to strike the novodel poltina of 1746 and the Livonia-Estonia novodel 48 Kopecks of 1756. A choice example of this extremely rare pattern issue. The strike is bold and the iridescent surfaces glisten below attractive brown patina. Noticeable golden mint luster remains in the obverse legend and around the date on the reverse. Only a few tiny contact marks are noted and the appearance is pleasing.
