Republic gold "Single Shaft" Pond 1892 AU58 NGC, KM10.2, Hern-Z45. Single shaft variety. Showing rich, golden centers and hues of amber at the rims. Closer inspection reveals few encountered marks across the surfaces and the mildest form of wear across the highest points. Without a reported mintage, this first-year in the series is utterly scarce, especially in this borderline Mint State quality. For reference, the last example of this variety that we offered in an AU58 hammered for $13,500 in our 2016 Long Beach sale, and we except similar interest in this model representative.
