British Colony. Victoria 50 Cents 1897 AU58 NGC, KM10. Mintage: 20,000. An elusive type in general, particularly when its state of preservation begins to approach Mint State--a fact attested to by the NGC census, which records only a single piece reaching MS61. An ethereal color palate further intensifies the eye appeal, a slight bit of residue at the end of HONDURAS blending rather seamlessly into the neighboring iridescence.
