Louis XV Ecu 1765-L MS62 NGC, Bayonne mint, KM512.12, Dav-1331. A true outlier and premium coin, an enveloping stone frost over the king's bust wonderfully paired with watery white-silver peripheral elements--themselves exceptionally sharp--to stun the viewer. A tiny flan flaw at the king's hair which punctures the flan should be noted for accuracy's sake, but hardly breaks the coin's eye-appeal.
