Louis XVIII silver Specimen Essai "Visit of the Duc de Berry to Lille" Medal of 5 Francs 1814 SP50 PCGS, Maz-802 (R2). By F. Tiolier. A charming rarity in silver struck to the module of a 5 Franc piece, the present offering represents the only example of the type graded by PCGS, with the dove-gray of the fields admitting minimal cabinet rub, die polish towards the devices, and russet tone around the legends.
