An exemplary Taylor-period pattern that is rarely seen on the market, graced with notably clean cocoa fields. What would have been the first depiction of a crowned monarch on British coinage since the time of Charles II, this type was never originally produced for circulation, first minted by Richard Taylor from confiscated, and in Peck's opinion slightly reworked, Soho dies.
