Great Britain
Victoria bronzed Proof Restrike Pattern Penny 1860-Dated (c. 1886) PR64 PCGS, Peck-2106 (R). By Joseph Moore. Perhaps Moore's most attractive penny pattern, the striking admittedly few signs of die rust in comparison with Peck's statement that the dies had become rather rusty in the 20 years since their original production, only a small dabble to the right of Britannia's olive branch. The whole piece moreover is colored with red-brown patination which seems to give the piece an aged medallic feel.
