Guatemala
Charles III 8 Reales 1773 G-P UNC Details (Obverse Repaired) NGC, Guatemala City mint, KM36.1. The markedly scarcer of the dates for this two-year type, with the destruction of the Guatemala City mint in July 29, 1773 from a succession of earthquakes cutting coin production short for the calendar year. A beautiful silvery hue with the most minor tinge of amber at the edges, the surfaces replete with die polish lines and the repair work noted on the holder appearing in the right field.
