Central American Republic 8 Reales 1846/2 NG-AE/MA Z/S AU53 NGC, Guatemala City mint, KM4. Variety with CREZCA over CRESCA. A veritably handsome example of the type, the devices comparatively sharp for a clearly strained pair of dies that have left signs of cracking, die rust, and a small swath of weakness towards the center of the reverse. Wholly admirable for its state of preservation as such, and rarely encountered with the overstruck assayer's initials seen here.
