Central American Republic 8 Reales 1847/6 NG-A MS62+ NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4. A superior grade rarely encountered for this widely circulated crown-type, minor doubling in the legends and hairline die cracks throughout, and the typical die cud at the date for this set of dies. An icy white light emits from the navy surfaces, totally captivating the viewer. As a point of comparison, we sold an MS62 straight-grade piece for $2115 in our January 2016 New York Auction #3044 (Lot 29853).
