An extraordinary striking of this rare and always desirable type, beautifully toned to a steely gold with a level of detail seldom seen for so early an issue of the Mexican Republic. The LIBERTAD expressed almost no weakness, die polish lines exist throughout, and traces of the enviable clashed dies leaving rays around the eagle are quite prominent. Almost certainly conservatively graded.
