A 5 Pound 1883 Union Bank of Newfoundland banknote in Very Good condition. Blue inking of the "FIVE" vignette is still eye pleasing on the front of the note, and it shows through the reverse of the note. The vignettes on the front of the note are still visible and undamaged, which depict a ship in the center, a fish at right, and a woman at left. Staining, edge tattering, paper/edge damage along the margins, with minor rust spots below the place name "Saint Johns." Very Good. Damaged.
