A Fine example of this 1883 Union Bank of Newfoundland 5 Pound note. This note shows the central vignette of a ship on the obverse, with a woman on left and a fish on right. The blue inking of the "FIVE" vignette is still bright and very eye appealing, as is the red inking of the serial numbers. Mounting remnant residue is visible on the face and back of the note, as well as rust, edge wear, and staining. Fine. Damaged.
