COLOMBIA. Banco de la Republica de Colombia. 1 Peso, 2 Pesos, 5 Pesos, 10 Pesos, 50 Pesos, 100 Pesos, 500 Pesos Oro. July 20, 1923. P-361s-367s. Specimens.
7 notes in lot. This inspiring Specimen note set originated in the November 1990 American Bank Note Company Archive sale at Christie's, lot 779. Complete denomination set printed on bond paper in issue colors. Each has zero numbers and SPECIMEN in red. All with penciled or printed die numerals on the back and noted by PMG. All colors are sharp and attractive as the day they were printed. All noted as previously mounted and with pinholes. The key 500 Pesos P-367s is About Uncirculated 55. The other six are Uncirculated 62 to Choice Uncirculated 64 and well matched. Probably an irreplaceable complete set from this historically important 1923 series. Passing five-figures in a bidding inferno would be a deserved outcome for such a museum caliber ensemble. Mixed PMG Graded Notes.

From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Paper Money.

Estimate: $5000.00- $10000.00
