ITALIAN EAST AFRICA. Cassa Mediterranea di Credito per l'Egitto. 50 Piastre, ND (1942). P-M3s. Specimen. PMG About Uncirculated 55.
(SB403s) Specimen serial numbers and perforations. Printed on watermarked paper. These Italian Occupation notes are all quite scarce and those of Egypt are simply rare. This 50 Piastre note is the first we have handled and is an offering that likely will not be replicated in the near future. Portrait of Emperor Octavian at left with scrolled border, same frame housing watermark, right. All notes in issued form for the series are ultra rare and without price in the SCWPM. Just some light mounting remnants are observed and mentioned by PMG in the comments section of the holder. PMG has also graded just this example for the catalog number in any form. An item that will highlight any collection of Egypt and also a rarity for collectors of WWII related banknotes. PMG About Uncirculated 55.
