Fr-244; Delm-538. 6.76 grams. Obverse: Royal figure brandishing sword and shield atop ship, lion on pavilion; Reverse: Ornate floriate cross, crown above lion in angles. Issued by the city of Ghent in rebellion against Philip II, this example is nicely struck up on a relatively wave-free flan with full peripheral detail and light yellow golden toning. Conditionally RARE, with the only other MS-62 (or finer) that we've seen at auction being a NGC-graded MS-62 that we sold in January 2017 for $5,875.
