Fr-351; Dupl-889; Ciani-1091. 3.37 grams. First emission of the ecu d'or a la croisette type, struck for Francois I at Rouen ("B" mintmark, one of the first coins issued after the mintmark reform). Superb quality for the issue, displaying a bold strike with full legends on a virtually round flan. RARELY seen in a more collectible state, with this being the single finest graded of this issue at PCGS.
