Fr-426; KM-256.2; Gad-249. The louis d'or a la perruque type struck at Lyon from 1683-89. A VERY RARE type, as most were restruck into the louis d'or a l'ecu issues in the 1690's. Entirely impressive quality for the issue with bold, near complete designs and fields that are filled with strong satiny luster. Worthy of a strong bid from the French type collector, as examples in this quality are only available once in a blue moon.
