KM-673.1; Gad-581; VG-1498. The first issue struck after the abandonment of the French revolutionary calendar and the resumption of the familiar AD dating. Choice quality, this example retains appealing semi-reflective gloss in the fields and displays deep blue, green and gold patina over the pleasingly defined surfaces. Similar overall eye appeal and quality to a NGC MS-63 graded example of this date that we sold in our August 2018 ANA sale for $3,600.
