Military Bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II, inscription: "FUR TREUE MITARBEIT BEIM BAU DES TELTOWKANALS / 1901 - 1905"; Reverse: with two mermaids, facing, supporting a plaque depicting the Machnower Locks which is inscribed with the surname, "LANGE", of the recipient of this medal. Edge impressed "925". The Teltow Canal runs from the southern outskirts of Berlin to near Potsdam. This unusual octagonal medal was awarded to engineers and others involved with the project. Includes the original fitted leather, satin and velour presentation case. Toned and attractive.
