50 mm. Eglit-Unlisted. Awarded to Ferdinand W. Peck. Allegorical seated figure with Exposition building in background, central tablet inscribed with recipient's name: "FERDINAND W. PECK" and inscription below: "IN DANKBARER ERINNERUNG"; Reverse: Crowned German eagle with inscriptions "COLUMBISCHE WELTAUSSTELLUNG / IN CHICAGO 1893" above and "DEUTSCHE ABTHEILUNG" below. Bright gold on the obverse with a more reserved, yet also more original honey-rose reverse. The obverse lightly cleaned with evidence for a minor bend along the upper left border. An interesting Columbian Exposition type, an example of which we have not handled before. Looped for suspension.
