THRACE. Southern Thrace. Aenus. AR Tetradrachm (16.22 gms), ca. 475-400 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5. Marks.
May-18a. VERY RARE. Head of Hermes facing right, wearing close fitting petasos; Reverse: Goat standing right, Boar's head in lower right field, all within incuse square. Well centered obverse with good strike details. Mild scratches on Hermes' cheek. Even and pleasant dove gray tone with subdued luster. A seldom seen type with an impressive provenance.
