MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1858-Pi PS. San Luis Potosi Mint. NGC AU-58.
KM-377.12; DP-Pi38. VERY RARE date, older die style. Impressive quality for this seldom-available date, displaying a strong strike that sharply details LIBERTAD on the radiant cap as well as complete detailing in the eagle's feathers on the corresponding side. In the fields, the naturally shimmering luster remains full with blushes of amber mauve patina on both sides imparting a strong essence of originality. An extremely important rarity for the collector of this mint with the added allure of presently being the finest graded at NGC (for all varieties), with none currently encapsulated at PCGS.
Estimate: $4000.00- $5000.00
