PHILIPPINES. Advanced Collection of 10 Centavos through Peso/Piso Patterns, Trial Strikes and Off Metal Strikes, 1966-70. CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED to GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.
Approximately 109 pieces in lot. A highly advanced collection of patterns, trial strikes, off metal strikes and uniface strikes as well as a few other related odds and ends struck in copper, brass, bronze, lead, white metal, aluminum and silver. Consisting mostly of uniface lead trial strikes on variously shaped planchets, the remainder being in copper, brass, and other compositions for coins and medals. Most pieces with the busts of Ferdinand and/or Imelda Marcos, with a lesser number relating to the visit by Pope John Paul VI in 1970, Juan Luna, and other subjects. Several SCARCE to RARE issues. A well kept and preserved collection housed in largely unattributed cardboard and mylar flips in a three ring binder. Some have PVC, corrosion, glue residue, environmental damage and/or have other defects. Close personal inspection is advised and will reward the diligent bidder. A real treasure trove for the Philippine pattern collector, with a diverse spread of material. Many with original mint bloom while others are toned to one degree or another. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.

From the Ray Czahor Collection.

Purchased from Philippine Dealer Gary Allison circa late-1980's to early 1990's.

Estimate: $3500.00- $5000.00
