POLAND. Zamosc. Siege 6 Groszy, 1813. NGC EF-45 BN.
KM-2; Bit-9; Parchimowicz-1011. VERY RARE variety with fronds below denomination and no outer legend on reverse (holdered as obverse in NGC holder). Choice quality for the type, struck during the siege of the Zamosc Fortress, and always crude as a result, with this example being perfectly centered with sharp detail appearing in the centers. As is virtually always the case, some adjustment marks are seen at the edges, but they are less pronounced than is typical. Finally, limited handling is present for the grade, with magnified inspection revealing almost no post strike marks and designs that are without significant highpoint loss. Notable as the single finest certified example of this variety and at least equal to the finest we've seen; as such, quite possibly in the conversation for the finest known of the type.

Estimate: $5000.00- $7000.00
