KM-Pn284; Parchimowicz-P168d (incorrect on PCGS insert). Plain edge. From a mintage of just 50 pieces. A VERY RARE pattern issue, conceived as a commemorative issue for the revolutionary astronomer Nicolas Copernicus who was born in Thorn, Poland and is credited with expanding the theory that the Sun, and not the Earth, is the center of the universe. An attractive example for the assigned grade with bright silvery surfaces and little discernible wear.
From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II.
