RUSSIA. Order of St. Anne Third Class Breast Badge, ND (Established 1735). EXTREMELY FINE.
Werlich-1099; Vernon-65. Gold rimmed red enamel cross with gold openwork in the angles. The central medallion portrays the Saint in her red and blue robes; Reverse: Crowned "ASPF" cypher on white enamel medallion. 42.6 mm, larger than the typical third class badge. There are 56 gold standard and the crossed anchors of St. Petersburg hallmarks on the loop. Additionally there are "AK" (Albert Keibel Jeweler) and an indistinct Imperial Warrant mark under the red enamel on the reverse. No flaws of note.
