RUSSIA. Order of Saint Stanislas Second Class Neck Badge, ND (Established 1765). EXTREMELY FINE.
48.6 mm. Werlich-1103; Vernon-82. Gold rimmed red enamel eight-pointed cross, each point with a gold-tipped ball. Between each arm is a gold Russian Imperial Eagle. The white central medallion displays the monogram of St. Stanislaus. The suspension ring bears a right-facing head and the gold fineness mark of "56". Additional hallmarks on the reverse of the cross are "BA" and "EDVARD". Suspended from a 260 mm neck ribbon and housed in a red leatherette box with an Imperial Eagle and the title of the award gold stamped onto the hinged top. This medal was issued to Colonel Pantuhoff's father, who rose to the Russian Army Medical Corps.
