Rothsay Cottonworks countermark with beaded outer border and corded inner border on 1809 Mexico City 8 Reales TH, privy mark on reverse at six o'clock as is normal on all genuine examples of this issue. Better than normally encountered with clear host details and well applied countermark. Host coin honest even wear without much in the way of noticeable marks. Both host and countermark exhibit good contrast with light gray raised portions and charcoal toned fields. Overall a handsome example with a nice look. Countermark VF Details; Host coin
