SWEDEN. Riksdaler, 1812-OL. Karl XIII (1809-18). NGC MS-62.
KM-586; AAH-10; Dav-347. Type I obverse. SCARCE two year issue (the other date being 1814), with a mintage of 43,000 pieces. Lightly toned with numerous die polish lines running vertically in the fields that produce flashy luster on both sides. While common for the issue, numerous planchet adjustments appear through Karl's bust, and likely prevented a higher numeric grade. Despite this as made imperfection, still among the finest we've seen offered in many years, and to date, the single finest example of the type certified by either NGC or PCGS.

From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II.

Ex: Grundy Collection; Ran Zander Collection.

Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
