Military Bust left, inscription: "SIMON BOLIVAR / 1785 - 1830" around; Reverse: Laurel wreath enclosing the inscription: "MEDAILLE / DE / CENTENAIRE / 1830 - 1930". Inscription: "OFFERT PAR LE GOUVERNEMENT DE LA REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE" around. Edge lettered (torch) 3 OR. Matte olive gold finish, with just the most trivial of friction noted on Bolivar's chin and cheek. Includes the original fitted easel-style leather, silk and velour presentation case. A Paris Mint issue, VERY RARE. Sharply struck and quite attractive.
