BC-30a $2 1954 Devil's Face PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ. A gorgeous example of this ever popular design type which features what appears to be the devil himself peering through Queen Elizabeth's hair. Whether or not this was deliberately engraved or is just a trompe l'oeil has been debated for years. Nonetheless, the Canadian government acted swiftly and modified the design to eliminate this feature. This note is the sole finest graded by PCGS. HID08701242017
