Comoros Banque de Madagascar et des Comores 5000 Francs ND (1960-63) Pick 6c PMG Very Fine 30. Overprinted for use in the Comoros, this large format multicolor note features a portrait of General Gallieni. This must have been a controversial selection, as he exiled the Queen and abolished a 350 year old monarchy in Madagascar in 1897. This is a pleasant mid-grade note with PMG noting only minor repairs which are very difficult to locate through the holder (there is a very short internal tear to the left of 579 in the upper left corner of the face).
