Great Britain J.S.G. Boggs Framed Art Note 10 Pounds 1988. Paper money art created by artist J.S.G. Boggs in the form of a Bank of England note. These were executed in order to help pay the legal fees that Boggs incurred in staving off the charge of counterfeiting brought before him by the Crown in 1986. Boggs has signed this note in red ink above his artwork signature as the "Chief Cashier." Other whimsical touches of the "note" by Boggs are also observed. This example is not graded. It has been matted and framed under glass with overall dimensions of approximately 12.25 by 10.5 inches. The note measures approximately 7.75 by 4.5 inches. We have offered only one other note from this Boggs issue. It was a framed 1988 £5 note that realized $1,110 in April 2018. Boggs died on January 22, 2017. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason. HID08701242017

Estimate: 1250-1750 USD
