Italian East Africa Banca d'Italia 500 Lire 12.9.1938 Pick 3a PMG Very Fine 25. A grandly sized example that uses the same design as the contemporary Italian note, with updates to the underprint color to green and with the Italian East Africa overprint. We have previously only offered a single note of this design from the Ruth Hill Collection, in which a Fine 12 example realized $1,880. This example with brighter colors is expected to drive more interest. Minor internal tears are noted. HID08701242017
