Qatar and Dubai Qatar and Dubai Currency Board 50 Riyals ND (ca. 1960) Pick 5a PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. A visually stunning 50 Riyals example from the short-lived Qatar-Dubai Currency Board (QDCB) issue. The Qatar-Dubai riyal was introduced on 18.09.1966 and circulated until 90 days after Dubai's entrance into the United Arab Emirate; being officially withdrawn on 17.08.1973. Scarce in any condition, only three examples have been graded higher in the PMG Census. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company, this beauty is well centered with bold reds and the Falcon head watermark is vividly noticeable. Erasure marks are mentioned by the grading company, however they do not provide any deterrence in eye appeal on this beautiful note. HID08701242017
