Somalia Banca Nazionale Somala 100 Shillings 1962 Pick 4a PMG Extremely Fine 40. The highest denomination from the first series of the newly united Somalia. Issued at the end of 1962-1965. This issue was devoid of future security features that were only added in the second issue. The Somali Shillings replaced the East African Shilling. This is the only PMG graded example. On Track & Price there is a mention of a previous sale by another auction house, but we have not been able to verify this data to be correct either in their catalog or website. In this sale we are offering various unobtainable Somalia examples. We have struggled to find much reliable sales history on most examples on sale from the Minot Collection. What we do know is that they are rare. We have endeavored to come up with sensible estimates, but have an inkling that we might see some surprises. From the Minot Collection HID08701242017
