Clearly the key date / signature combination for this series, with the smallest print totals of any variety. Only mild circulation is visible through the third party holder. Additionally, before the Bretton Woods Agreement in 1944, the Pound system had a much strong purchasing power. After the Pound was devalued, a far larger number of these notes were printed and released. In many instances, historical events can affect the value of banknotes, even decades or centuries later.
