Botswana Bank of Botswana 20 Pula ND (1979) Pick 5a Low Numbered PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ. Sir Seretse Khama, the founding father of independent Botswana on face, with agricultural machinery on back. The highest denomination from the first series of banknotes for the Bank of Botswana. During the early years of independence, Botswana mostly used the South African Rand. In 1979 the Pula notes were born, and the 20 Pula represented a lot of money, considering that the Botswanan economy was not cash hungry at the time. This example is still heavily underrated, and rarely comes up for sale in this grade. Perfectly centered, brightly colored, and low numbered. The note on offer claims the joint top graded position on the PMG Report. A chance to obtain a modern rarity. From the Minot Collection HID08701242017

Estimate: 700-900 USD
