Western Samoa Bank of Western Samoa 10 Shillings 1.5.1961 Pick 10a PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. An interesting early West Samoan example with provincial overstamps on both the face and back. The idea behind the overstamps was to identify exactly what notes were designated for West Samoa. These measures were in place for only 4 short years, before Apia issued Currency was released in 1963. One can notice "High Commissioner" blocked out and replaced with "Minister of Finance".
