NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (21mm, 1.15 g, 7h). Quadrilateral on Cross Fleury type (BMC xv). Gloucester mint; Sæwine, moneyer. Struck 1125-1135. Crowned bust facing slightly left, holding lis-tipped scepter in right hand / + SÆPIN : ON [GLOPE...], quadrilateral with incurved sides and fleurs at limbs; all over cross fleurée. EMC 2008.0155 = Coin Register 2009, 403 (this coin); SCBI 48 (Northern Museums), 1143; North 871; SCBC 1276. Fine, toned, poorly struck.
