KINGS of LYDIA. temp. Cyrus – Darios I. Circa 550/39-520 BC. Fourrée Siglos (15.5mm, 4.40 g). Kroiseid type. Sardes mint. Confronted foreparts of lion and bull / Two incuse squares. For prototype: cf. Berk 22; cf. SNG Ashmolean 762–71. In NGC encapsulation, 2076182-006, graded XF, Strike: 5/5, Surface: 4/5. NGC label incorrectly states this as an issue of Kroisos and as a stater, which is a double siglos.
